The Book Thief
For the next two documents, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak was the focal point. The first paper was a midterm response that allowed me to express my opinion for the book halfway through. This type of response was a great opportunity for me to really analyze and remember all the events that I might have forgotten if I hadn't stopped midway. It was also fun to be able to write a paper that was all about your opinion because we are all entitled to our own opinions. Then I had to do a final project and was given a few options of what I could do. This project was definitely creative and I chose to write a letter to the author, Markus Zusak, explaining my likes and dislikes of his book. Once again this was also enjoyable because it allowed me to express my thoughts in a creative way.
Oedipus the king
These next two papers also followed the same organization as The Book Thief papers; although, I found these papers to be more helpful. I used these papers to really understand what was going on within the story instead of just using it as an outlet. I would say that this creative piece (the second document) was extremely enjoyable. I loved being able to write it from the mothers perspective and was really able to understand the character better.
